How would you like to set up your companies?

There are three ways to set up companies in Connectworks. Choose the option that best suits your firm and the number of companies you need to load.

Individual loading

If you only need to set up a small number of companies, you can load them manually.

Bulk import from the Companies Office

Bulk importing is recommended when setting up multiple companies.

  1. Download our Company Import template here:

  2. Complete the template with as much detail as possible.

  3. Email the completed template to support@connectworks.com.

  4. We will notify you once the import is complete and the Company profiles are ready for review.

Xero Practice Manager (XPM) import

Companies imported from XPM are not linked to the Companies Office. We DO NOT recommend the following, as it means additional manual work is required to:

  • Update the share register, and

  • Connect the Company to the Companies Office.

What are the benefits of bulk importing vs manual setup?

Bulk importing is the easiest way to get started. It ensures all Company profiles are available when you need them and reduces the ongoing administrative burden of manually importing each profile.

How will bulk importing affect my billing schedule?

A unique feature with Connectworks is that when Companies are added to the CoSec Management / CoSec Management and Signing, the subscriptions are set to match the Annual Return filing month.

This ensures that, when loading companies (bulk or individual), there is no bill shock. Firms typically invoice clients for Registered Office obligations at filing, ensuring smooth cash flow for your firm.

How can I access my data to complete the import template?

Firms use a variety of methods to complete the template efficiently. A combination of:

  • Data exports from practice management systems, and

  • Data from the Companies Office (using both RealMe login and the Companies Register)

will usually provide the required information.
