1. Overview

 Where a corporate trustee company is required to sign a document as a trustee of a trust, the director(s) of the trustee company must do so according to the company's signing policy. 

When a document requiring signature by a corporate trustee company is published, an email will be sent to the company directors, advising them that the document is in Connectworks and available to be signed. The email will look something like this:

Clicking on the link contained in the email will take the signatory to the Connectworks login page. After logging in, the document will be visible in their Workspace inbox:

If you hover over the item in your Workspace, you can see that you are being requested to sign a document for the trust, on behalf of your trustee company:

Simply hit the Sign button, and you can proceed to sign the document as per the normal signing processes

 

2. Other places in Connectworks you can sign the document

There are three other locations in Connectworks where you'll find and be able to sign the document: 

In the Workspace inbox of your corporate trustee company, when you access the company directly (not via your firm and its subscription for your trustee company. See screenshot 1.

In the Workspace inbox of the trust, when you access it via the Trusteeship tab of your corporate trustee company, when this is accessed directly (not via your firm and its subscription for the trust, and not via the Trusteeship tab of the trustee company, when accessed via your firm subscription. See screenshot 2.

In the Documents tab of the trust, when you access it via the Trusteeship tab of your corporate trustee company, when this is accessed directly (not via your firm and its subscription for the trust, and not via the Trusteeship tab of the trustee company, when accessed via your firm subscription. See screenshot 3.
