Add-ons

Connectworks provide the ability to integration with other practice management systems.

Presently we integrate with Xero Practice Manager and Actionstep.

NOTE: You need to have Firm Administrator access within Connectworks to have access to Settings and Add-ons. This is super user access within Connectworks and allows the user full access to all trusts and companies with no restrictions. This access needs to be enabled initially by Connectworks. Please contact us to enable this access. 

Actionstep

To add Actionstep as an add-on into Connectworks. Click Administration, Add-on. Select Actionstep from the drop down. 

Click Create 

NOTE: Ensure pop-ups are not blocked in your browser

Enter your email address and password for Actionstep and click Log in. The following dialogue box will pop up requesting access. 

Click Accept

Once you have successfully added Actionstep into Connectworks we recommend you log out and then log back into Connectworks.

This ensures the option for importing a trust option is available in Connectworks.

Xero Practice Manager

Before you begin to add Xero Practice Manager into Connectworks. Ensure that you have logged into XPM initially. 

Xero Practice Manager login

Once your logged into Xero Practice Manager, log into Connectworks. Click Administration, Add-ons. 

Click Add add-on and select Xero Practice Manager from the drop down list, click Create.

NOTE: Ensure pop-ups are not blocked in your browser

NOTE: When you trying to get the add-on to connect and getting the circle spinning only. If you complete a "hard refresh" to clear the cache and other settings by holding down Ctrl and click the *Reload* button or by holding down Ctrl and press F5.

A window will pop-up to authorise access, select the account to allow Trustworks to access your data. 

Click Authorise

Once you have successfully added Xero Practice Manager into Connectworks we recommend you log out and then log back into Connectworks.

This ensures the option for importing a trust option is available in Connectworks.

Unlink and Remove

To remove the add-on from Connectworks. Simply select the add-on, click on the cogs and select "unlink and remove"

The following dialogue box will pop-up to confirm you want to discard the add-on. Click OK

NOTE: Any trusts imported previously will remain in Connectworks, this is simply removing the option of importing any new trusts.
